Make Hay While the Sun Shines is a series of dances that changes with each performance. Through a combination of movements drawn from the participating dancers’ own dance histories, a sequence of short, rapid passages emerges. In this seemingly chaotic mix of movements and bodies, a kind of knobbly energy takes shape — a sense of togetherness and collaboration that is a bit like life itself: irregular, fascinating, unsuccessful, stumbling, loving and pretty unpredictable. The dance has evolved over several years, moving between different dancers, countries and audience spaces.
For this occasion, Stina Nyberg and the five participating dancers have composed a dance for the busy and unruly environment of Sergels torg — a short, fast and unruly dance performed to an eclectic composition by composer and DJ KABLAM.
