Reality is Round
A playful, intimate dance performance for children aged 6 months to 2 years.

What does an echo sound like? What does it feel like to roll across a dark sea of cushions? And is it possible to meet without words? Here, it is the children’s curiosity and their capacity for absorbed, devoted play that lead the way. Two dancers and a musician create, together with the children, a safe and imaginative space filled with movement, sound, and long cushion “snakes.” We bounce, rest, make sounds, and roll.

This is a co-creative experience, which means your child is not expected to sit still—quite the opposite. Space is made for encounters between everyone taking part. The performers follow, support, and develop what emerges in the room. No two performances are the same.

Reality is Round is based on a simple and poetic idea: that language can never fully capture reality as it is, because concepts have edges. And reality? Reality is round.
